Decorate safety; weight of the decorative material; load bearing wall
People always neglect the decorate safety when decorating their houses. However, many accidents have happened because of the neglect of decorate safety. Thus, we should pay attention to decorate safety from now on.

First, we should make sure that in general, the weight of the decorative material of the floor should not be more than 40kg/㎡, if the house is not evaluated by the building safety evaluation institution. Thus we had better not decorate the floor totally with marble, which is much heavier than the floor tile or wood floor. If the floor is decorated with marbles totally, the floor slab may be overloaded.

Second, we should not make holes on the load bearing wall, or remove the wall connecting the balcony and the door, or enlarge the door and the window, or make doors or windows on our own will. Because all these actions may cause the crack on the wall or decrease the quake resistance of the building, which will greatly shorten the useful life of the building.

Third, about the decoration of the balcony and the bathroom, we had better choose light materials, as the overload of the balcony may cause the overturn of the building.
