Generally speaking, such grinding wheel cover was welded together with some A3 steel plate, of course, some of them can also be made from cast copper. If it is the small size grinding wheel cover, it can also be made from aluminium alloy. Because of low strength of cast iron, it is not the good raw material for protective cover.

When designing and manufacturing protective cover, please be careful that its thickness of cover wall should be reasonable, it should not be too thin, otherwise its strength can not be guaranteed, and there is also potential safety hazard for workers. On the other hands, it should not be too thick, otherwise it would be more ponderous, and what’s worse, more raw materials would be wasted.
