Similar to the human skin, under the too dry environment for a long time, the hardwood furniture would lost its moisture and then they begin to shrink, finally there would be lots of crack on the hardwood surface. On the contrary, when the humidity in increasing at home, the hardwood furniture will absorb the enough moisture and then begin to expand and finally recover their original shape.
