Many people consider that the advanced automobile assembled in the domestic is the Audi 100. However, as a matter of fact, the Mercedes-Benz automobile is also assembled in Changchun city of China before the assembled Audi 100. According to the tasks of the assembling of the Mercedes-Benz 200 and the Mercedes-Benz 230E middle and advanced class automobiles which were ordered by the Chinese State Economic Commission to the Changchun First Automobile manufacturing factory on the 20th, January, 1988. Besides, the first Mercedes-Benz automobile assembled by the Chinese CKD was successfully manufactured in this automobile manufacturing factory. Also, lots of the Mercedes-Benz automobiles were the products of the W123 platform techniques and this kind of automobiles stopped to be manufactured and produced in Germany in 1983.
